A very good book for Western astrologers who are interested in Jyotish.  Detail fundamentals are quite adequate and explanations are logical and applicable, especially about bhavas, nakshatras and interpretation of the horoscopes. For jyotishis who are more critical, details in some yogas are to be carefully considered and judged, as the conditions of such yogas may differ in details.  Examples are the Panca Mahapurusa yogas and Dharma Karma Adhipati yogas.
	By combining the astrological systems of the traditional Chinese (terrestrial) with that of the occident (celestial), White demonstrates that every person is governed by two signs--such as a Capricorn Tiger or a Leo Dog.

	This book is in my top 10 books in my library. Her explanations for the solar & lunar eclipses just prior to birth are detailed explanations for our talents and lessons in life.  Whether we follow the positive or negative path, she pinpoints the influences with supreme insight. Also, use this book to look up someone you're going to have a meeting with, and you'll find you get everywhere fast.
	This is a book that can be read over and over with new insights to be gained each time. David Frawley teaches the principles behind Vedic Astrology which are unchanging and timeless. He quite rightly challenges the reader to come to his or her own conclusions.
